Go directly to business.google.com and sign in with the Google account tied to your listing. That's your dashboard. If you verified the listing yourself, it's almost always the Gmail or Workspace account you used during setup. If someone else set it up (previous employee, agency, web developer), you'll need access to that original account or to request ownership transfer. Once logged in, you'll see all profiles you own or manage. Click any profile to access the core dashboard sections: posts, insights, reviews, messages, photos, and business info editing. The left sidebar is where you navigate between these tools. The mobile Google Business Profile app (iOS and Android) gives you a simplified version of the same dashboard, useful for quick review responses or photo uploads on the go. Common access problems we see: the listing was verified under a personal Gmail the owner forgot about, or it's stuck under a former marketing manager's account. If you can't find your listing at business.google.com, either you don't have access or the business was never verified. Search your business name on Google Maps while logged in — if you see a "Manage this profile" button, you have access. If you see "Own this business?", you need to claim or request access. For multi-location brands (10+ locations), Google offers a separate bulk management dashboard that requires approval, but most Ottawa businesses use the standard interface. We set up dedicated Google Workspaces emails (like locations@clientdomain.ca) for our multi-location clients to avoid the access mess when staff turns over. If you're completely locked out and the original owner is unreachable, Google's support process exists but can take weeks. Faster route: if you have account access to any Google Ads or Analytics property linked to that listing, sometimes you can recover management rights through those connections. Always document who owns the login in your internal records the day you verify.
