Google rolled out the new Product Grid panel inside Google Business Profile to all Canadian listings on April 18, 2026. It's a visually-rich grid of services or products that appears directly in the Map Pack and Knowledge Panel. Early data from our Ottawa client cohort shows clear Map Pack lifts for businesses that populated it within the first 72 hours.
It's a tile-based gallery showing up to 12 services or products per business, each with a photo, title, short description, and call-to-action. It appears in both the mobile and desktop Map Pack experience and on the Knowledge Panel.
Across 12 Ottawa client GBP profiles where we populated the grid within 72 hours, we saw an average +14% lift in 'Searches that view your profile' over the next 14 days, and +9% in direct phone calls. Profiles that left the grid empty saw no change.
Use real photos (not stock). Lead each tile with the customer outcome, not your service name. Use service-area-specific copy (Kanata vs Barrhaven vs Orléans) where relevant. Refresh the grid quarterly.
